Never been to Wollaston BMW before apart for a coffee one very rainy day.

Took the 1150 Adventure in for a service today, the warranty expires at the end of this month so I asked them to take a look for anything that may need doing.

Service manager came back a bit later and confirmed they will be changing:

Front fork legs
Fork brace
Front engine cover
Disk bolts

Bad the parts need changing but bloody good service all the same. I was not a customer up to this point but I will be stopping off at Wollaston more often in future :thumb2

They very kindly sold me another bike as well

Very good group of people in there, helped my out when the bike arrived there 3 years ago in bits after an accident. Stripped the farkles back for me free of charge and ensured that the bike was not to be returned to me or the road.

Nice to heard they are keeping up the good work:thumb

Congrats on the New Bike.....details???

And all this great customer service had nothing to do with them being able to bill BMW UK for parts and labour :D

Well that is hard to say, however my normal BMW dealer did pull a face when I suggested the fork brace may be corroded and even after he looked the bike over he did not mention the fork legs or engine cover, in fact thinking about it, I do not recall many people getting front covers changed.

I am more than happy bearing in mind this was the first time I had spent money with them so we had no customer relationship, I only chose them because they were nearer and I had a meeting PM to get back to.

HP2 Demo bike - 95 miles on the clock, Endro pack not even fitted yet and spare SM wheels.

I am a tad suprised as it was the first time I had even seen the HP2, just sat on it and thought wow! :)

NICE!

Need anyone to run it in, I have lots of spare time on my hands and would be happy to help:D

I agree. On the bike side they provide a really good, friendly service and are very accommodating. However, on the car side they're VERY different - in fact exactly the opposite - over priced, poor service and can't even be bothered to respond to letters of complaint. I wrote to them on 3rd December copying BMW GB. BMW GB responded with a very nice letter on 13 December .... have Wollaston bothered to reply? No! :nono

You can't have a clearer indication than that as to how much they value my custom!
