After the software update - V1.0.2 - I've lost the ability to adjust media volume by using the Wonder Wheel. It worked before and I'm still able to move around the screen and zoom in and out of the maps using it. Anyone else had the same issue? I emailed the CRN team at BMW but haven't had a response.

If you’re in map view press it right and there’s a toggle for zoom in/out or volume control via wonderwheel

That didn't work. Clicking to the right on the WW takes you to the same menus as before and a long click - although taking you to the audio menu on the side - doesn't allow you to alter the volume, just to go up and down the menu items. https://www.dropbox.com/t/pdI1RcnXbA4wIDmC
FWIW - over the weekend we tried on my brothers bike and had similiar issues to what you described. Appears to be related to the Bluetooth version your device supports:

Schuberth SC1a - no wonderwheel volume
schuberth sc2 - wonderwheel volume works
AirPod pro’s - wonderwheel works

It worked for me before the last SW update of the CRN so I’m putting it down to that. 🫤

This happened to me recently. I figured out my issue. I had paired my Bluetooth device (Sena) directly to my phone (so it wasn’t paired to the bike). The clue was hearing music but not nav instructions. Easy fix is to cancel the sena pairing on phone and reconnect sena on the bike (CRN). Did the trick. And can now toggle between volume control or map zoom on the crn. Hope this helps.
