Although symptoms are not obviously hall sensor related, gonna have to part with some reddies at Motoworks. Stripped out fuel pump again and checked and thoroughly cleaned tank, pressure excellent with a strong flow of fuel to the injectors. Problem has got worse with same symptoms, just more exagerated. Bad to start, dies when throttle opened, misfires and stalls. Gonna try the hall sensor route. Apart from wiring harness or motronics can't think of enything else to try... Will be back!!!!

did you mess with the metal round thingy that runs between the HES? if that 17 screw is not tighten correctly, all the simptoms you described above occur.

Hiya folks, sorry I didn't clarify earlier, have treble checked cables, seating, dirt behind cable pivot etc, all is fine with tiny amount of play eaqually on both throttle bodies and bars, also cable distributor fine. Problem has got progressively worse, difficult to start now, idles and runs rough from idle to 6,000 revs under no load, cannot pull away under load. Double checked everything as previously stated. Fuel pressure 40psi but both injectors have definately deteriorated, very little coming through them. Pump still sounds the same, fuel delivery, volume wise also checked, before injectors and ok. At the moment it does seem to point to the injectors... equally bad on both sides, fuel pump was in need of it's replacement and the tank and lines were dirty when I originally checked and cleaned them. Hopefully injector will come soon so I can verify. Injectors were to my untrained eye firing plenty of fuel originally, as this has now definately deteriated i am hopeful this is where the problem lies. So to reiterate... if when the new injector comes the problem persists, is it possible to check the pulse to the injectors, ie volts or amps?
Thanks for feedback folks.

I remember someone talking about a diode to check the injectors.

I doubt you'd be able to check the pulse to them with a normal meter as they would be too short / fast to register.

measure the electrical resistance of each injector; if i remember correctly, it should be ~ 4,5 ohms; maybe someone can confirm/infirm this.

if injectors are ok, the fuel pressure regulator seems to have gone bad.

Measure across the injectors contacts - should read around the 16-16.5 ohm mark ( plus or minus a fraction).

If they're 14.5 or lower they're fecked. But you usually get a big increase in fuel consumption when they start to fail.

If you can get hold of an injector "noid" you can plug it into the injector plug and see if it's getting a full pulse. Or use a test bulb.

Not done a lot with injectors, but can't you remove the injectors and turn the engine over to see if you are getting a good spray pattern from them??

Read the thread again.

Did the injector resistance test early on in the saga, replaced fuel pressure regulator, checked fuel pressure and flow... all ok. Finally got the 2nd hand injector I had ordered, which for one reason or another was delayed in post for over a week, this showed the very poor injector spray pattern of both old injectors. As I said in earlier thread what do I know about spray patterns!! I now know more than I did, had both injectors serviced properly and the bikes running better than ever. The cause of the problems go back to dirt in the tank, when I did the service and changed the fuel filter, it clearly had not been changed for a very long time and some of the crap got through to the injectors. The symptoms got progressively worse as the injectors began to fail. Many thanks for all the help. Keep an eye on those injectors folks!!!!

Great that you have a result :thumb2
I enquired locally and they can service mine for £18 each, I may get them done soon.
