Over the last few years I have been slowly replacing a lot of my functional clothing with wool products, mainly base layers and jumpers/mid layers. I've found that quality wool products are just more comfortable and better at moisture and temperature regulation than synthetic stuff in all but the nastiest of environments (I still use synthetic stuff when getting realy wet or muddy, chance of submersion or in a dirty workshop envirnonment).
While in Keswick last week I discovered the Norwegian store, it's absolutely rammed with top quality scandi wool clothing, some of which is very reasonably priced. The couple that run it are really helpful and know their stuff so if you are in the market for some wool clobber, it's well worth a look / visit. The Devold clothing in particular seems really good.
