530 odd on the trip up to Torridon, Bob. 2.5k altogether. 60mpg on the way up on 97 Ron. 54 mpg later on 95 Ron. Very impressed by that cam head motor. Less so by the suspension but overall ...
Yes, the chopper is a Merlin. I suspect it was being used for some Marines / Special Forces training, hence the visit to Spean Bridge.

The Merlins are serviced to the South of Oxford they do some very impressive test flights.
