Have just taken the bike into Riders Cardiff to have a look at the paint lifting on the swinging arm

....and not only are they going to fit a new swinging arm, they're going to replace the shaft drive as well, as he spotted the tiniest of paint defects on it.
Fair play. Outstanding customer care.

Mine needs looking at
18k service is due and warrant runs out in October

Depends how well they think the bike has been looked after, no doubt this comment will stir up a hornets nest of indignation but my local dealer has said a number of claims have been rejected due to people not cleaning their bikes. I am not saying that is the position in this case!

I agree as my dealer did say they'd need to ascertain whether it is a genuine bike defect or whether the rider has mistreated his bike. He took a number of photos including my registration and current mileage.
I'd always suggest giving your bikes a bloody good spruce up before taking them in.

Wobble, is your top left picture underneath the engine as I've got a bit of paint coming off there due to stone chippings flying up and it's not covered.

Great idea, but my dealer is 150miles away, so unless it's a nice dry day.

Always like to keep it clean, and whilst the mileage high 18k in in 20 months we can only see.

If they come up with a good price on another one I don't mind too much, but as its leased with a guaranteed buy back its actually their own vehicle.

Now that's interesting. Would you like to give us a brief pros and cons of leasing as opposed to buying outright?
