I know BMW won’t sell a manual anymore so does anyone have one to sell for my 2007 gs?
or is it a Haynes manua.
also I read that it’s possible to check the clutch condition if you remove the starter. True or BS!

Checking the clutch plate wear by removing the starter is true. whilst not exact it will give a pretty close indication.
New plate 6.5mm service limit 4.5 mm.
Just changed mine 94K miles and 4.8 mm.

Thats a fair mileage for a clutch (y)

OK thanks. I’ll take a look. Mine has 61k but it’s lived a life. Just back from 31k through North and South America

Andy, I have a copy of the BMW REPROM service DVD for use on PC from when I previously owned my Hexhead.

I also have a spare Haynes manual for a Hexhead you can have and I'm not far away from you in Fareham.

The REPROM has a lot more info than a Haynes manual, its what I used when I rebuilt my gearbox as it has all the necessary measurements etc.

A shame you aren't subscribed so I could send you a PM.
