Worldbeater Panniers/Project VND

Wanna look... and touch?!?

By the way, if anyone is thinking about purchasing a set but wants to look at them first... as long as you live in or around Devon (or passing through) just give me a shout. My door is always open for anyone wanting to pop over and have a look, or as I commute around South Devon daily I could always stop by.

Besides I like talking bikes and don't get many out-of-towners around these here parts I say.

Vern does it again!

Went to Vern's shed today for another set of panniers and came away with these...

Another top job done,

Cheers mate :thumb2

These are 9 inches wide with flat lids, he does 9,10 and 11 inches, in fact I'm sure he can do any size you require, with a choice of different depth lids.

I'd give him a call and discuss what your after then he'll quote you for them, just to give you an idea, there a lot cheaper than TT, lighter, and a lot better built (I've had some), complete with stainless brackets.

I would tell you the price but I paid for them last year, had a pair, then one of Vern's customers needed a set quickly as he was off the do America and Alaska, so I recently let him have mine, these are the replacements hence the title, Vern does it again! :thumb

FFS Bobble, Nomad asked how much .Is it some sort of big secret .??????

Theres so many variations Jim, but at least he has prices on his website..
They really are, IMHO the best of the lot regarding panniers..

Between £550 - £650 or there about's, last year, may have changed now and depends on what options you want, exhaust extension if losing the cat.

Still beats the tt set at @£945.71 plus shipping

Sounds good .
Ill be giving him a bell.
Love grumpy bastards.

Lanyard Sidestand Puck!!

not panniers i know but a few weeks ago Vern sold me a Lanyard Sidestand Puck ( After i saw a second hand one advertised elsewhere) what a fantastic product just got back from a wettish trip around the Picos and over the Pyrenees and never ever worried about pulling up on wet grass and looking for wood/tin can etc... just dropped the puck positioned it and viola! as for retrieval side-stand up pull up via attached lanyard and pop in tank bag.... last year i went all around europe with a piece of pallet in my tankbag which i had to try and retrive b4 the bike fell on me......this is soooooooo much better...... thanks Vern!!!

Ok,regarding the price of these, here we go then.....

Bobble bought one of the pairs that had the tooling marks on them, about 18 months ago.I think they were around £650 with the tie downs and exhaust extension and a couple of 8mm eye nuts on for tying more stuff on to the bike.

They are now £825 regardless of size/shape,and the only extra is if you want tie downs on the lids, which are an extra £50.I'll even out them on for that as well, but you have to make the coffee.:beerjug:
