Hi all,

jus a quick question about the standard [showa?] units on the 1150gs, Ive heard all the peeps getting super shiny ohlins etc when their oem bits are knackerd, but I was just wondering are there any dead obvious give-aways that your shocks are on the way out [mainly the rear] other than oil pissing onto the road!

:D

In my case, a marked reduction in the cornering ability after about 10 mins from a cold start (after the damping oil got warm) was the biggest clue. Ride becomes choppy & unpredictable, resulting in you feeling less confident when cornering.

Like wise, but after about 20 minutes. Remarkable resemblance to a pogo-stick. But they weren't worn, they were just crap!

It's all a bit relative really,

If you are of an era when a great pastime was bouncing around on the Orange Space Hopper or had the desire to view over the ajoining Garden Hedge to check out Mrs Robinson sun-bathing with her Tits oot using your trusty Pogo Stick, then knackered BMW units will hold no fears.

Those who did not, will need something more substantial, Ohlins, White Power etc etc.

Personally, Mrs Robinson on the back with some great knockers, sorry ......shockers would win.:D :D :D
