Worth It ?

Hi,
I'm still looking for a decent GSA after being let down, on agreeing to buy a 03 plate with 13500 mile for £5900 did a hpi and found more owners than advertised. Willing to travel for the right bike but that means I have to think very carefully and do the checks before I travel.
Found this and was wondering what its worth given the mileage.

Price: £6000 Mileage:37300m
2004/04, Touratech extras include, top box, front mud guard, hard part, centre stand plate, Remus carbon exhaust, heated grips, engine bars, fog lamps, light guard, Wunderlich thermometer and Wunderlich lifting handle, plus brand new BMW heated waistcost, plus streetguard trousers and jacket approx 1 year old, all GS extras, Xenon light, FSH, very good condition, must be seen, excellent bike,

Apparently all the original stuff goes with it !

Have a wee look in the FS&W, Bike Trader etc. 6k seems to me to be a bit much for a bike with that milage. OK, a boxer will do many times that, but at about 40k there likely to be things that are going to need done in the nearish future. Don't get sidetracked by the bling...... there's plenty of bits available here for very good prices. However, since that's the asking price, you might be able to batter him down a few quid.

Just bide your time and the right bike will come along.
I had a few hiccups when i was looking, one guy messed me about something chronic whils't i was trying to organise transport to London, another bike on Ebay turned out to be a scam (fortunately no money changed hands) and a few were so rather optimistcally described

In the end an absolute minter turned up on here with all the toys and low mileage for just a bit more than i was going to pay for a standard 30K mile bike.

You'll know when you've found the right one because there will be no doubt or hesitation

Depends on what you want and if all the toys with it are where you are looking to go. However much you say to yourself I will not change the bike, you will and it looks like the bike has all the toys you will need for now. Make the guy and offer, 4750 should be where you start, don't go past 51/2

If he sells it for that then you have a deal especially as you could flog the clothing on ebay for aroun 500 notes.

OK wizard is probably right about the bling, All the bolt on stuff can be added to the right bike. With that in mind I've found a 03 plate GSA at a dealers that has just over 4000 mile on the clock.
Now is it worth a grand more to buy from a dealership with full warranty and the piece of mind that buying from a dealership brings ???.

If your are a first time big GS buyer like me, I would say yes. If it is a 2 year warranty, definitely yes.

Looks like I'll take the plunge, I feel that the chance of an O3 plate with 4k on the clock may be to good to pass up on, even if its a grand more from the dealer.
