Would you buy another R1200GS ?

I did, put 22,000 kays on the old 1200gs over 15 months, saw the new gray colour and ordered the new one (Feb 06), dropped about $3,000AUD which is not bad.
Very happy with both bikes.

Yes, because it is a good bike.

No, because at the moment there seems to be too many variables about it's ability to cope with battery requirements. I personally don't believe the 1200GS is really proven as a reliable off road bike. Yeh - that's my view. Stick a kick-start on it and I would feel a little easier. I hope the bike will prove me wrong. Perhaps a good question is "Would you rely on the bike in the freezing cold to get you out of the shit?" Oh, yes and before you answer - you are using heated grips, ABS, heated suit.

One year & 25000km on I think its the best bike in the world (haven't ridden the ADV yet though ). It does everything from M-ways to gravel tracks & bogs.

I've had 2 problems with it - a blown lamp & a puncture - so I'm a happy camper

Cant wait to buy another. Done 7000miles now no real problems. Will buy another one when 2 year warrantee runs out. Best bike i have owned or ridden and i have owned or ridden everything!
