WOW now this is what i call Customer service from South London Motorrad

I'm glad to read possitive post here about dearlers. I was lucky with Vines in Guildford, nothing but exemplary attitude and sevice! SLM seem to work along the same lines which is what I think most of us expect from a BMW dealership. Even though, praise is always a boost for everyone when it's due!
I think I'l pop past SLM just to have a look... :thumb

Just spotted this.

I have been a critic of SLM in the past, which is a shame as I live about 2 miles away and would like a nice, welcoming dealership to do business with. I didn't realise that they had been taken over and apparently things are 'on the up', good to hear.

I must pay them a visit:thumb

Stu C & Shready. It would be good to see you both, and perhaps you can see how we like to do things here now. The bikes are all out on the forecourt, the team are here with a smile, the sun's shinning, the coffee is on and our man is here cooking the bacon sandwiches !! What more could a GS’er ask for !!!:)

Just come back from picking up my bike from SLM:thumb:thumb:thumb
Everything done as promised and it was nice to see you again Alaric and thanks for the Bacon Sandwich:thumb
Just one thing i was no so happy about was the state of my bike:rolleyes:
First thing Deb(my wife ) said was "WOW look how clean she is ,you got to keep her like that":rolleyes::rolleyes:
I do not do bike cleaning to well,so please when i bring her in again for a service (the Bike not Deb:D) would you mind not to clean her please:D:D:D
Can not promise yet but how about a BBQ demo on a Saturday morning at SLM?? Maybe sausage,Rolls that sort of thing as a little thank you from me for you guys?;)

Also a big thank you to Paul from Hein Gericke in Stockwell which sorted out my little problem with my Remus exhaust:thumb:thumb
Again the Customer service was brilliant.I have followed Paul around now to his 2nd store cause he is just doing a top job:thumb
Topstuff guys:D

The "Cleaner" Service

Thanks LV, good to see you. Glad the service was all OK. We would all love to see the "LV GS BBQ" in action. I will check the insurance policy !!!! ;). We are planning an "open day" to celebrate the new business soon, so why not schedule it for then (date to be announced, but probably in September) and we will be inviting everyone to come along and see us. You can fire up the BBQ and compete with the pig roast ! It will be BBQ's at dawn !! I will let you know the date, and hopefully we can get plenty of other lurkers along also.

Cool just let me know and if i can fit it in i will be there:D
Just for the benefit of all the other guys which have not seen my GSA BBQ

I've used one for a couple of years at rallys and they are the business, I think mine cost around £12 from Sommerfeld. You can store quite a bit of charcoal in bags inside the closed BBQ (but make sure you secure it properly!!).
I was impressed with the modifications you came up with to fasten toyour panniers.

Hmm can you get them in black to match the 800GS? :mmmm

That definitely is the D B's.Does it have any affect on the balance of your bike.

Don't forget about tailswing:blast

Just joined this site to add my comments about SLM.

"SLM is the best dealer I have ever used, it is run with staff who care."

Hi MGJ. Thanks for your comments. I will pass them on to the team. Hope to meet you some time when you get the chance to pop in for a coffee. Regards Alaric.

Thanks Will (tosser !!), with friends like you mate ...... ! I have standards as you know, although I might just question the quality of those I mix with... !!:bounce1

SLM..Whats all the fuss about then!!!

Thought I'd pop over to see what all the fuss is about at SLM.

Met Alaric, who informed me whilst we were waiting for the uncooperative kettle to boil with the promise of a coffee, that he also had a Thunderace and then progressed to a GS and then bought the business! lol. I don't think I'll be following that trend to the full just yet...

Anyway, I've only had the bike 3 weeks and with being new to BMW's, Alaric got one of the team to have a look and listen and make sure all was in order.

They have a good set up there, everyone was very friendly and took the time to answer my ?'s and deal with my requests (rare these days), highly recommend them :clap

Oh! btw Alaric, hope you got the kettle sorted :nenau I'm sure there will be more GS'ers on the way : :)
