wrong bike

Just edited his other post in my section.... seems he knows how to win friends and influence people :rolleyes:

Perhaps a good introduction with the idea of raising a bit of cash, and not slagging off the lardy bikes on here would have worked better- How about riding down to Banjul on C90's... its been done on here and a bit further than C90boy is contemplating :rolleyes:
 
Well sorry for any offence but it seems to me that you lot are that far up your own arses that you cant tell the difference between a little bit of fun and reality.Tell you what why dont you jump on your GS and let me know how far you got before you get a life.
Maybe you would have donated a little towards the H4H charity had they had the common decency to do it on a GS.
The reason they chose to do the ride on a c90 is not that its easy but because it is difficult.
If what happens when somebody has the nerve to make a lighthearted comment about your GS is that you all fly off the handle then i pity every last one of you.
At least these lads are trying to help others rather than throw mud at others as it seems goes on in here.
Any way
Carry on riding and if you see any of them on the road dont bother to wave or flash your lights,oh i forgot you would never do that to anyone on a lesser bike would you

Im not even doing the ride i was just trying to raise awearness of the event with a bit of banter,in hind sight it was wasted.
Still they havent lost any funds or gained any either so all is well.
So i will leave it.

Additionally I understand that there is another trip pending when travel is deemed safe in Mauritania.

Then look at the Calum's Road thread, another recent major charity fundraiser, as well as countless other events such as the Round Britain ride in aid of the Breast Cancer charity, the annual East Midlands bash which raises thousands, and so on.

The approach was wrong not the attitude on this site.:beerjug:

I suspect that there are an awful lot of people on this site who have given more than money to H4H.

Such unpleasantness. Just no need. Not some thing I comprehend. Shame
 
A mixed bag of posts really.
Maybe if im really lucky a few more of you could use some more vulgar language and rude gestures.
Really gentlemen this is no way to conduct yourselvs,like a leaking innertube your letting yourselves down.
Shame really as all i asked was had these gents chosen the right bike to do 3500mile trip in ten days?, a simple yes or no would have done,not swearing.
There was no mention as some of you have suggested on here that i was asking for sponsorship thus shooting myself in the foot,before first introducing myself, infact i wasnt.
If i had wanted to read vulgarities or see rude gestures then i would have used them myself from the word go, and if you take the time to read my first post in this section you will see that there are none.
It is sad to think that what on my behalf started as a little lighthearted banter has fired some, not all of you to jump in and abuse me.
I can see from some of the post that there are some decent folk on here,also some very rude people as well.
So i shall sit back now and wait for what i am sure will be another torrent of abuse from a select few.

3500 miles in 10 days?
id say they are the wrong bikes, 350 a day? its a lot for a c90, i know these engines better than most, iv sold about 500 of em,
should be changing the oil every 2 days really, and fit oil coolers,
350 large mileage in a day? no, its a mornings ride on the type of bikes here,,,
next time read a few posts on the forum 1st especially things like callums road etc,,,,
oh,and post later in the day, i for one immediately thought you were a spammer with a post worded like that,,,
there ya go, no swearing and an answer to what you asked:comfort:D
ps , tordspot? where the fucks that?
 
Woooo check out the short tempered keyboard heroes :D Having had an 1150GS explode it's rear wheel bearing twice, in the middle of nowhere, I'll take the C90 for reliability thanks. Good luck with the charriddee efforts C90boy

Thats more like it a little civilised conversation.
Change the oil every two days,thats a thought,i dont think they take that much prob about a litre....
So now that we have bonded a little,why not check on thier progress starting next Thursday,lets see if they can make it and give some words of support.
