Wunderlich and Touratech seats are made by the same company, Kahedo in Germany.

Really down to the user when it comes to seats, what suits one does not suit the other I'm afraid, I tried a Kahedo, it was better than the stock but not as good as a Sargent I later used.

Don't know if this is much help :blast

I have the TT, and it fits my behind. I tried a Sargent, but it didn't agree with me.

If you do a search you'll find multiple threads on the subject, and almost all of them say that you should try before buying as it's a personal thing.

Hi
I bought a new LOW Wnnderlich seat which was excellent quality but it dident reduce the height much (FEET ON FLOOR) because it was wider than the original and after 1000 miles i sold it on e bay because you could feel every bump and ripple in the road surface .

Seat for 1150 or 1200 GSA

If you want a comfortable seat for either an 1150 or 1200 ( I've ridden 80,000 and 20,000 respectively miles on both ) you have to buy a Corbin.

By far the best.

Thanks for all the feedback , there doesn't seem to be a clear winner except that anything is better than the original !

gel insert an recover of your choice at tony archers, a quarter of the price

The wunderlich is a lot harder than the original, slightly different shape which makes it a bit higher. But i think your assumption that any of them will be better is spot on,thats what i did when i bought mine.

in the words of the the triple velvet advert HARD HARD HARD !!! i HAD ONE FOR A WEEK AND GOT SHOT FOR A SERGENT

My Wunderlich Ergo low means my arse isn't numb after 4 hours sitting on it.

Job jobbed........

Hi,
Do you have any contact details for Tony Archer.
Cheers,
Paul

I've used the Touratech Sports seat on most of my previous GS's and found them to be very comfortble especially when doing big distances in Europe. The Airhawk is also very comfy but looks a bit crap and the fittings are really poor so it'll need a bit of bodging to fit properly. Go for the Touratech for comfort and looks.

Are you talking about the seat on a 1200? I was only thinking the other day how comfortable the standard seat is on my 1150 GSA. :nenau

sheep skin

Hi, I looked at various seats and a gser advised me to buy a sheep skin. Fantastic! We have sheep and so had some available but you can usually buy them from your local butcher. Drape it over the seat, cut it longer at the front and back and level with the seat on the sides, then tuck under the seat, will stay there okay. Very comfortable, warm without bein sweaty, dont get the nippin arse , also waterproof, the rain runs off it. I honestly would not spend money on any seat until you try it out, about £25 quid will get you a skin, you can also choose the colour of fleece, rare breed, white, red, blue etc. :thumb2
