X-ADV took me by surprise

It's been on my radar for some time as I have a Catalan friend who has one.

I agree with the above

amused by this, as you suggest forming a cliquey group!
Not a group . Just like minded people having a ride and a few beers

I’d recommend rider footrests from eBay. Yes they are Chinese, and yes the quality is top drawer stuff.
Best of all they are close to £300 cheaper than genuine Honda ones.
Small flexibility in positioning too.
Mine were £59 posted, came in about 10 days, fitted in 20 mins, look great and work perfectly.
Lots of colour (anodised) combinations too, black/natural/grey.View attachment 514642View attachment 514643
Here is the real deal Honda version 🫣😜

I wonder if they might fit my Forza?

They do blend in better with matching colour, I went for the plain alloy as a contrast. The Honda ones look like they rely on a spring, the Chinese ones have a ball bearing and detent to hold them in place. The price differential for me was just too much.
As they say, ‘You pays your money and you makes your choice’ 😊👍🏻

...On returning the bike to the dealership they asked for and recorded my thoughts and experience and that was it, no hard sell, no number crunching, just a thank you and goodbye you know where we are sort of parting, hmmmmm
No wonder dealerships/businesses are going bust, amidst a shrinking ridership market.

The 'sales' people (let's not call the collection of doltheads 'teams' ) need either a kick up the arse or else being fired.

A punter walks in, is delighted by the product and experience, then they let said punter walk out the door with money in his pocket.

Anyone at least get your name, contact details?

The most successful businessman in British Columbia, a billionaire and still in the office every day in his 90s, fired the lowest performing salesman every month in each of his dealerships....that keeps people sharp.

At the very least, these 'sales' people should be doing their job, salaried or commissioned.

I disagree whole heartedly with your comment. You have no idea what conversation was had before hand.
We had 2 different experiences. Mine was trying the bike I wanted before I bought it Steve was trying it out to scratch an itch to see what the fuss was about.
I liked the way I was delt with. Can't be dealing with a hard sell.
Both objectives achieved.

He sounds like a right charmer. Hopefully he'll pay his dues come Judgement Day.

He's a prominent philanthropist, employes thousands of people across many industry sectors.
His philosophy was essentially, "if you're not selling then you're in the wrong job, so go and better yourself."

A fair number of British employes need to think about that, unionised or otherwise.

That's your take on it.
Personally I hope he rots in hell.

Agreed Bob, it was refreshing in a way to not be bombarded with desperate sales patter, I think he knew he was dealing with a grown up who was pondering the next move and in no way desperate to do a deal come what may, for those reasons he will get my business if I make the decision to have a deal, and yes he has my contact information.

Fair enough.
