x challenge brake and clutch levers.

hello I need to purchase a front brake and clutch lever for my bike as the person who owned it before cut the ends off the levers. I was looking on ebay and came across some nice billet adjustable ones but they say they fir the gs650 2008 on along with a load of other models that all seem to start after 2007. any idea what changed between 2007 and 2008 did they go hydraulic clutch? any ideas.

Just fitted these to my bike. There was a slight issue with one of the pivot holes not being large enough, but the seller sent the correct replacement part immediately.
