X Challenge cutting out and hesitating.

The std exhaust with cat can break and block up the exit. I've had this happen on an xmoto after doing some jumps. Take the silencer off and shake it ,listening for any lose bits.

Great top tip - my Xcountry (38k on the clock now) was struggling at the top end. So much so that it against a headwind and uphill, 70mph was a difficult to acheive.

I took the pipe off after seeing this post and indeed there is something loose inside. It sounds like something large sliding back and forth rather than smaller pieces though in my case.

I replaced it with the another exhaust now and performance is restored.

Don't know......I would guess not as I filled my rear tank and standard tank to the top and did 120 miles, which didn't even use all the rear tank. Standard tank still full.

Mr Snowy,

Starting to find that my bike "feels" a little down in power, but i don't think it is a compression issue.

What did you do to clean your injector out? and any idea how long these last before they wear?

how much was your offending pick up coil to replace?

Interested in your upgraded stator as well, is this the same part as the standard f650 stator?

Nathan

I took out the injector and gave it a clean with some brake cleaner, then used some putoline injector cleaner that you add to the fuel. The injectors are pretty good and last well.

The pick up was from motorworks i think and i can't remember the price.

The 400w stator was second hand but it didn't seem to work too well, although it was a straight forward bolt on job.

I may have a spare pickup if you want to try it and see.
