Got a set of new springs en-route for the XChallenge – anyone who's fitted a set of these got any top tips for installation or is it a fairly straightforward old ones out, new ones in type of thing?!

Are they progressive springs?
I fit the hagon progressive springs to my X Country. Better road manners when braking, No fast diving just steady compression.

It's sometimes best to put a little less fork oil in if there progressive springs.
Measure what comes out in a measure jug, One from the kitchen is good :).

Cheers Dave.

You need a 110 mm air gap with the forks compressed using 10 weight oil.

Did you order them from Hyperpro Holland or somewhere else?

Hi Dave,

did the Hagon springs change your Suspension travel??? and how much difference is it with the stock ones?? cause i'm a bit sick of the fast diving when using the front brakes

Did you change the back spring as well??

Cheers chaps, I'll let you know how it goes once they arrive!

Ordered via an Ebay stockist (Calsport), as a kit including the oil etc.

Hi. It has made a difference with the progressive springs. As you say it does dive a lot when braking on the road, It was ok off road. Much better on the road now, And off road I ain't good enough to push the bike to find out if there any better or worse. Not changed the rear shock yet, I will get round to that sometime this year. 24000 miles on the clock now and the rear shock has just about had it.
May have it rebuilt with olins spring and re-valved to suit my weight.

Cheers Dave.
