Hi
Been riding the XC and I love it but it is just to tall the way it rises when I try to get off it so what are my options
1 Will an XCountry shock fit ?
2 do Wilbers do a shorter shock?

Also what are your thoughts on lowering the XChallenge
PS if anyone has a second hand shock for sale PM me please

Cheers
Eddie

PM sent.

I've got 2 spare shocks, one with 700 miles on it, the other with 11k. Both work perfectly well.
Let me know if you don't take Timpo's.

Be careful if you fit a shorter shock and intend riding off road. A couple of X Country's have had swingarm failures due to bottoming out the shock off road. Ditching the airshock for a traditional spring will remove the tendency for the shock to top out under breaking and when putting a foot down. Hyperpro is probably the best option for an aftermarket shock.

Have you tried a lower seat? The factory low seat option makes a difference and is actually more comfortable than the stock seat.

Thanks fro the info I don't do much off road just trails so I might be ok for me to go with a shorter shock....
I would dearly love to keep the air shock but my problem is getting on and off the bike after I put the side stand down the bike rises so much have to slide off the other side it works ok to a point but if the ground is uneven it becomes a problem I have managed to drop the bike twice due to this :(
I have nice seat done by Tony Archer its great about an inch lower than the standard seat and when riding putting my foot down is not a problem as I trail the back brake when stopping this seems to stop the topping out.

I also would like a lower XC. Dismounting is quite a challenge and not pretty nor cool... But I love the bike.
I am interested in the Tony Archer modified seat solution. To get the 1" reduction did you start with the standard seat and had that modified or was it a factory lower seat?
What is the comfort factor like? Any pics? Thanks
