Hello,
Has someone a few tips concerning the testing of the ignition coils?
They could be in use since 07, got a few clocks replaced, but I think we have done 40-50.000 km by now
The engine is a bit rough in the lower revs, higher up the 2nd plug is switched off anyway.
Not many mechanics here, all far away or the usual chancers with a bad reputation.
Thanx
Cheers --Josey

I can't help about your question - but I have one for you, if you don't mind. Where is GWY please? I can't work it out.

Hi

This is from the BMW REPROM :

12 13 - Ignition coil

Ignition-coil type
BREMI rod-type coil

Ignition coil, primary resistance
between terminals 15 and 1
0.87 Ω

Ignition coil, secondary resistance
not measurable

thank you -- if I could find the terminals 15 and 1.
Guess I take the lead off and if it dies it's the faulty one.
Much obliged for the reply, Cheers Josey

Thank you for the reply.
sorry oul habits from a former job.
GWY is the 3-letter iata code for Galway Airport
(LON is the Metro code for all the London airports and offline points)
I don't think PM works, not paid up.
email <schedules at eircom.net>
