XCountry won’t run - help!

I don't see a dangling starter relay (or anything to do with it, really) causing the bike to crank but not fire. I'm looking into causes for similar misbehavior in a G650x that I have on the shop now.
Hi Anton , Loftus from over the mountian.

I had a crank but no spark issue last month. Tank pressure vent fault or something like that. Replaced the fuel pump assembly and it fired right up.
Good luck finding one. I had to get a used one out of Florida. Only one I found in America.

Hi Anton, I should have been clearer; it wasn’t the starter relay that caused the fault, but what is described on my wiring diagram as the motor run relay. I think it takes a signal from the neutral/clutch/side stand, and when those are all in the correct position, it switches power to the fuel pump and ignition. It’s just a basic 30a 12v relay. I found mine hanging behind the engine….not sure where it’s meant to live but I cable tied it up underneath the seat. I’ve done 3k miles since then and it has been perfect.
