a long shot,,,,i was able to access the net on the above pda, now when i try, i get a pop up saying "cannot connect, dialed. no modem at above number" the only clue i can give, is that in a moment of boredom i deleted some files one being 'connmgr'
its on o2 is there anyone out there that can help

Not knowing a lpt about PDa's ... but I would say that Connmgr was something to do with Connection manager.

Do you have a facility to "Reset Settings" in your settings folder.??
I know most 'phones have this facility which reverts 'phone to "Factory Settings".

Worth a look I think.

cheers pat, i have tried the hard reset..it doesnt help...the problem is i deleted the contents of the file and there isnt a recycle bin so once its gone its gone,, if some one out there has one of these maybe they could tell me the contents of the file, i could maybe write them in...not sure if that would work but worth a try

Did you get an installation disc with it.?
Perhaps you may be able to connect the PDA to computer and "explore" files and MAYBe the missing file will be on the disc.!1

Sorry not much help.Ther has to be away to retrieve it.

I know there are programmes for retrieving files on a computer but not too sure about PDA which are in effect mini computers ain't they.??
