Hiya has anybody fitted one of the cheap kits off ebay to dip/main beam unit ,does the bulb failure technology see any problems with the ballasts in the circuit?

I have HIDs fitted to both dip and main beam on my 1150.
Doesn't do much to improve the beam shape of the dip light, but the sheer amount of light blazing out scares away the chavs in their Novas.

the difference is fantastic, still a crap pattern on dip
but apart from the obvious nightime advantage, riding on dip beam during the day makes car drivers notice you when you come up behind them
strangely enough quite a few pull over and let you pass, maybe think its a copper ?
