Tomorrow I am giving them a hand and going to store tools etc saved, in my container.
I have to help as everyone that works there is a friend and has helped my business for the last 14yrs so I must do something in return

Fresh snow in Glencoe. The gritters were out most of the night with frost at about 200 meters.
The sun is just coming up over the Fort, its dry and looks good for the day.

I was in Perth at 09.30 and am just home. Horrendeous fog and wet, greasy roads most of the way over by Glenfarg/Strathmiglo. Hope it's better further north.

8 Bikes and 11 hardy souls (nutters ! ) made an appearance.
It was very cold. Oonyack finished at the coachworks and made an appearance, I left him getting on the 4 o clock ferry at Mallaig. With everyone else heading South.
Hope everyone made it home alright and without getting frostbite.
Ill post some pics later.

Back in Glasgow by 5pm after 260 miles. Cold? Aye, the adventure was flashing 1 dregree above freezing over Rannoch Moor on the way back. Great ride out, with thanks due in no short measure to rdover's Crimbo coping strategy and GC's warm welcome at the Lochy. Time for a wee dram, or should I clean the salt off the bike? The dram wins!

Nearly turned around about there.......bloody cold, slippy & damp......but I continued to Pitlochry, stopped for fuel.....decided to press on to Dalwhinnie, Spean Bridge & arrived first(by bike!!) @ The Lochy just ahead of Oonyack & the rest.......

Thanks GC for your usual excellent hospitality.....nice to meet up with everyone & thanks to KayCee for leading the way home.....proving that a 1200GS has a much better headlight than a 650!!

315 mile round trip for me.......home safe & sound & about to take the first Guinness of the day.......

I arrived home at 17:45 having covered 337 miles. Good day out - but I can't see a darned thing when it is wet and dark. Must change that Caberg lid.

I took a few pics but they are not great as the shutter speed was very slow (and I guess I couldn't hold the camera steady).

First two are of Rdover, Dunard and Brian (who doesn't YET have an ID . . . . ) at the Esso / Travelodge before setting out.

Fortunately I am well out of it in my black & yellow waterproof oversuit (unkindly referred to by SWMBO as my 'romper suit').

Well that's the bike cleaned and tucked up for the night. Now where's ma tea?

Believe it or not, it was actually warmer on the way home than on the way up. Bit darker though...(Note to self "Must invest in some PIAA's")

I think everyone had the same doubts as they rode up. I thought about turning round at Callander, then Tyndrum, then Glen Coe, but the thought of some warm food at GC's place kept me going. Glad I did, it was worth it. GC's up to his usual high standard.

One question though, were did the GSA's go after leaving the Lochy?

Hope you get your bike back on the road soon, Martin, I could sense that Mrs P would rather have arrived on two wheel than in four.....
