Some of what you assert maybe bang on but to be fair if you are after higher performing mega reliable bikes that can perform in loads of roles for what is effectively pretty little money (you can pay more for a middle of the road mountain bike than this asking price) and you need to be sure the bike will still be performing down the line the RT is not in the running the FJR is far quicker and way more reliable, its pretty simple really.

I love the smooth in line 4 cylinder. I wish I could get something smaller with an in line 4. Someone will no doubt direct me to one now......I can but hope.
However, the FJR is a good all-rounder, and yes, more reliable than the beemer.
BUT, its not everyone's cup of tea, which is fine.
Not everyone can handle them, even though they may desire one.

Footnote. The contributor on here like I said may have a point about "Big Heavy Bikes Have tanked" but there will always be discerning buyers that will pay decent money for top turned out upgraded bikes. Folks expect decent money when they have used and abused machines this FJR is far superior to the later FJR's as it has had all issue's sorted like upgraded brakes and suspension. The latest Cam Chain tensioner, Forkbrace. It has never been allowed for years of crud to damage it. Bikes like this take some caring for to keep them like this if you want such you have to get your wedge out or to pardon the phrase buy a modicum of kak for less. Simples !
Tis also your bike to sell for as much / little as you like. IMHO it's not fair sport commenting on an asking price unless you are thinking of purchasing or have assessed the bike's value v condition etc - in which case I'd low ball even if i wanted it!!

Congratulations to the OP on the well deserved sale. It looked like a top bike in top condition
There will indeed be buyers for top turned out bikes, irrespective of size and to say the FJR is any bulkier than a GSA is straining the point a bit, but plenty on here have bought big BMW's and paid top dollar. I've joined the market for "big heavy bikes" and just bought a lovely gen 2 Busa, and don't regret the decision as compared with anything new, including middleweights, it was a bargain and is easy to handle. There are loads of people still in the market for bikes like the K1200S and K1300S, the latter being the natural competitor to the FJR but of the two, I'd take an FJR any day, as long as it was one turned out like the one sold here.
I like all the follow up comments after-sale. The irony of it I sold the bike on a well know platform for more than I was offering it for on here. I had plenty of enquiries off here some pulled out because of personal issues some how to do I put it, were "Tyre Kickers" no more no less.
I'd have bought it in a heartbeat, but no bloody garage space left

They may take a chunk but reach a much wider audience, any of whom will have snapped yours up compared to some available on there. None were better, a few were newer.
Morety, I was mindful of the rake the various platforms take on sale so I went the classified ad route and it cost £19.99 no other fee. Good value
