year old bike (service info)

Bike will be one year old March & has 5300 mile on clock will be near 6000 miles March non abs R1200 GS what service does it need & typical cost ??

IIWY I'd ask for a 6000 mile and combined annual service.

I was told that the need for the annual service element has been dropped as long as the bike is in for a service more than once a year. Blackbird will still need the annual element but because I cover 18K per annum and the bike is serviced every 3-4 months it is not required.

As for cost get a quote from more than one dealer.

I use an independant (B G Giles, Pembury, Kent) because I know the bike will get a proper service by an expert and I wont be paying main dealer rates. Warranty is still valid as long as book stamped and approved parts used. He's an ex BM workshop manager so he knows what he is doing

I like your thinking. is there a list of independant garages as this sonds like the way i should go. anyone know somewhere in cambridge area?
