My local shop has a 2003 1150gs with 53000 miles on it with a full BMW service history.
Sorry meant to mention I am BillyBob fat in size but a nice chap, I currently own a 2006 Fazer 1000 the old style model.
Previously I owned a 2005 Triumph Tiger ( which I loved ) and at least 20 other bikes over the years.

My question is 53000 miles and a price of £3495 is this high/wil the bike run for another 50000 miles.
It seem to have all the belts and other bits changed when needed.
I need answers quik to by it tomorrow(Sat)

Cheers BILLYBOB

sounds ok to me especially with the service history i certainly wouldn't shy away from one with that mileage and considering its from a dealer price does not seam to far off though it all depends on the condition its in :nenau

Welcome to the site Billybob :thumb

One of the best GS's I've owned was an 1100 Anniversary with 50k on the clock... you wouldn't know it by the way it rode:thumb You'll get to a certain age and they won't drop much in price, so from a dealer its not a mile out price wise IMHO

Offer them 3k for cash and see what happens ;)

yeah its ok that, it should with good servicing go for another 200 thousand never mind 50

howdee by the way:)

Hi and welcome. U dont say what u are dooing with the fazer. Having had one I can say that it is a LOT faster and nimbler than a 1150 gs or a 1200 either and I sometimes miss that. I have a 1200gsa now.

50k's not high mileage really, more 'nicely run in'. Mine's clocked up 51k this week and, although a bit noisy (throttle body) is in storming form. And, compared with a few others on here, that's barely got anything on the clock. Think Vern's Donkey is on 200k + :thumb2

i hit 50,000 miles last weekend 1150 gsa she goe's like a bull!!.buy it love it.

its the way a bike rides rather than the miles in my opinion.

When i got my 12 GS i test rode one with 17k one the clock, did not feel right lot of corrsion all over the bike.

I then tried another (same age) but with 30k on the clock, rode like new! I could not tell the difference between it (56 plate) and the 09 demo.

So i bought it :D

Don't worry about the miles. My old 1100 sold with nearly 80K on the clock and it still went well.

D'you think he's forgotten his password ? :D

Not been on since he asked the question :rob

Yes it is from ianbell's is there a problem with it??
Do you know any of it's history??
I have bought a considral amount of bikes from him over the years with no problems at all. He said co's it's you, you can have it for £3495.
I have left a deposit:(
Cheers BillyBoB
