Just posted a few pics of a ride I did yesterday in the Yengo National Park just north of Sydney. They are over in ride out/aftermath section.
Classic GS territory.
Went from the busy city to farmland to isolated bush in the space of two hours - a mixture of great fast twisty 'a' roads, lovely rural b/c tarred roads, good quality dirt, some fire trails with reasonable surfaces and some with surfaces so dodgy they were at the limit of my ability - especially 'kin deep sand - which has given me more sphincter tighteners than anything else on this bike so far.
A ride like this just convinces me that I bought just about the perfect bike for where I live and the rides I like to do.
I found the mental switch from tar to dirt to tar to dirt to tar again quite interesting - had to consciously switch mental approach to get the body working properly for the given conditions. Overall a great GS day out. Here are a couple of shots to give the flavour
