Whilst I agree with your sentiment, I can't help but be concerned if the Yes lobby wins. My primary concern is that the newly independent Scotland will be unable to support itself financially, and the resultant increase in taxes / decrease in benefits will create a lot of hardship.
Freedom is a wonderful thing, but let's all be realistic about the risks. What will the electorate in Scotland do if the new government doesn't live up to its promises... There will be no turning back.
(And before anyone bemoans the hardship which is already being suffered, the stolen oil revenues, the Norway model, blah blah blah... Do yourselves a favour and look at the REAL economic statistics, not the knee jerk submissions of the politicians and press on both sides of the vote...).
Everyone seems fixated on the idea that an independant Scotland will only have the choice of SNP or SNP? What happens in Westminster if "Newer Labour" doesn't live up to its promises, or any of the other parties?? They get voted out!
For everyone who doubts Scotland's ability to support itself - you should ask yourself if rUK can support itself without Scotland? Just because Westminster doesn't appear to be worried - doesn't mean they aren't shit-scared.

It's common knowledge and reflects very badly on Scotland. That's why I didn't bother to reply. Just another injustice from Scotland against the English that we grin and bear.
Fortunately the Scottish parliament will soon be allowed to raise taxes within Scotland to pay for all the free stuff you have been gifting yourselves. I am sure the whole of Scotland will rejoice.
Just in case you struggle to find it, read paragraph 1 and 2:
The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) will pay these fees if you meet eligibility conditions; for example, if you are a Scottish resident and/or a qualifying non-UK EC student.
If you come from the Rest of the UK (RUK), universities in Scotland will charge you variable fees up to a maximum of £9,000 just like England and Wales.

Does England not charge Scottish students?
Okay - so Scotish Universities charge English and Welsh students a maximum of £9,000 - which is what English and Welsh Universities would charge a Scottish student?
I've no idea what the "qualification" is that EU students require - in order not to have to pay the same as England and Wales? ( I think I'd need a degree to understand that

At a guess and this really is just a guess I would say there a reciprocating agreements with the "qualifying" countries. Scotts students can go there and have no fees so they can come here and have no fees. It is the same with health care and a whole load of other things. If you charge us then we will charge you, nothing unfair in that whatsoever. If you have a beef about student fees then talk to your MP about it because it certainly isn't Scotland fault.
This is all very confusing. Can anyone tell me this? If Scotland votes YES next month is that it? The wheels are put in motion to split from the UK or is there another step to take first? (The threads too long if it's already been covered 
)

The wheels are set in motion. Next vote for Scotland is to vote who will run the independent country and then independence after that. In between all that is where the negotiations will take place on debt and who gets what.This is all very confusing. Can anyone tell me this? If Scotland votes YES next month is that it?
