"Deutsche Bank said on Friday: “A Yes vote for Scottish independence on Thursday would go down in history as a political and economic mistake as large as Winston Churchill’s decision in 1925 to return the pound to the Gold Standard or the failure of the Federal Reserve to provide sufficient liquidity to the US banking system, which we now know brought on the Great Depression in the US.”

Will Sillars and the SNP now threaten to nationalise Deutsche Bank I wonder?

Interesting listening to BBC radio 4 and Robert Peston this morning regarding the BoE and RBS moving it's headquarters, it seems the BoE knew in advance (about 2 hours BEFORE the meeting ended) the outcome of the RBS board meeting :whistling:

Even The Guardian....

"Calling for reform and decentralisation within the United Kingdom, it concluded: "In Britain, in Europe and even in the world as a whole, we are indeed better together not better apart.

"Nationalism is not the answer to social injustice. For that fundamental reason, we urge Scots to vote no to independence next week."

Here is a bit of serious nonsense afoot.
You need to watch both vids, but the first one was top of the BBC program when they reported on this Alex Salmond with the world media.
If true this is scandalous and shows the BBC to be a puppet of the UK government.
http://tompride.word...-indy-campaign/

There are some responses to this on web page that are also worth a read.

Wasteminster I used to think were a boil on the arsehole of mankind but now they are a cancer and more much serious action is needed.
Cometh the Hour, Cometh the Voter, Cometh the Nation.
That will be a YES from me.:flag

Can't get the link to work....

But I thought you were twining about the Treasury leaking stories....or was it the BBC.....or RBS....or the BoE.....or BP.....or Deutsche Bank.....sorry, I've forgotten which conspiracy theory the indies are using as a smokescreen today......anything to distract from the real issues....which are that a significant majority of businesses...wealth creators....plan to abandon ship if the loonies get to run the asylum, and are saying, openly now, that independence is economic suicide. Even when it is actually non-independence.....Bank of England controlling all the economic levers and controls, and Saudi Arabia controlling the oil market. More and more bizarre.

As Scotland already has a massively bloated public sector draining what will be a decreasing income, together with all the fantasy promises made by eck, these huge institutions are seriously important to Scotland's future. And they are going if voters don't wake up and smell the coffee.

The BBC is and always has been the puppet of the state. Nick Robinson is the dogshit on the puppets shoe.

http://rt.com/uk/187344-bbc-scottish-independence-bias/

The link the OP was trying to post was this one I think. Although the Russia Today link you provided contains the same videos.
(I do find it amusing, though, that you should post a link from RT in a post where you accuse the BBC of being a puppet of the state!)

The blogger in my link (as is the News report from RT) is trying to accuse the BBC of bias by comparing a video of a snippet of a question/answer session, probably for a News item in a bulletin, to the full question and answer given in another video. The BBC are being accused of manipulation and bias over this, yet the second video, giving the full account, is a BBC recording that was obviously broadcast, in full, by the BBC on some other programme.

The snippet shown shows Nick Robinson trying to get an answer to one part of his question, which he clearly feels he didn't get in Alex Salmond's 7 minute reply. I listened to the full answer, if it was in there I couldn't see it. Instead Alex chose, toward the end of his reply to ridicule Robinson by accusing him of barracking.

IMHO this is what Alex does best, avoid answering the real questions by diverting attention elsewhere.

I will be voting Yes next week .Dont be scared everyone its not a leap of faith its a no brainer ,tick that yes box and prosper. Don't be scared? You should be terrified. Yes voters have no idea of what currency, central bank, or lender of last resort Scotland will end up with? What is your share of the National Debt? You can't be independent and in the EU, even if they will have you or exist in a couple of years time. What armed forces and military will you have? Which financial services companies and other businesses will leave? How much will retailers increase prices? What share of North Sea oil tax revenues will you get? What are the funding levels for schools and hospitals? How will you pay for it all, ie how much will taxes increase? How will you cope with the inevitable English backlash (which is only just starting and says a lot about the patience of the English) and how will you cope with being told "No" when you make silly demands? And much, much more. It's extraordinary how seeming intelligent people can act so recklessly.

Devon sorry mate if I,ve upset you but the thought of independence is intoxicating stuff if you are a true Scotsman ,I understand the implications of independence and I,m prepared to take the step if we feck up then its our feck up ,but Im confident it wont be, theres too many smart people up here to allow it . Personally I could not sleep well if I did not vote yes.:beerjug:

All valid points, so you'll appreciate just how dissatisfied a large proportion of the Scottish population are to be willing to take on all that uncertainty just for a chance to break free from the status quo.
