Yet another can

Thunder, can you let me know what the can is like when you are cruising. i.e. does it drone. I like the look of it but I have just fitted a full Staintune sytem and although i am very happy with the performance :D there is still a little flat spot at about 5,000 rpm but not as bad as before i put the system on. It also drones on a long journey.

Regards Gedjack
p.s. the MRA screen is excellent thanks for the opinion

the Remus was a real pain on long journeys as it had a really annoying drone and ended up going back with the stock can.

Fitted the Two Bros yesterday. It's noisier than stock (what a suprise :D ) but is not annoying like the Remus, cruising should not be an issue and the burble is slightly addictive.

Here's a clue to your questions in Thunders first post, GedJack. :thumb

Made a couple of recordings of the can today if anyones interested perhaps they can suggest how I post them on the site as I do not have access to webspace currently.

While waiting for the collective to reply here's an update of what I have been up to today, the Two Bros Power tip arrived so I've fitted it and taken the bike for a run of 120 odd miles to check it out.

It's easy to install in the can, just undo the allen bolts on the outlet and it drops into a recess machined in the end plate.

It's beautifully made from aluminium and reduces the outlet of the pipe and produces a sharper bark from the exhaust. Two Bros claim a reeduction in noise levls of 2 to 3 db without effecting horsepower.

It does seem to change the exhaust note, makes it sharper and possibly does reduce noise levels, first impressions are that I prefer the open can but it's early days and have not had the other half on the pillion with the can so will reserve judgement until she gives her opinion.

Got to say this is my first experience of Two Bros and so far I'm very impressed with quality, design and performance. :D

Right, now about the sound clips..............

I ditched the Remus because of it's drone when "cruising" and the hole it seemded to produce in the mid range with the headers fitted.

The Two Bros if anything is louder than the Remus but it's not unpleasent (for me anyway :D ) and my arse dyno is not registering any dip.

Happy ccamper I am. :D

Just got details of the Two Bros headers for the 1200 GS and GSA, will stick with the Remus for now but when it comes to changing the system to a new bike I may go with this option.

They have gone with the balancer pipe option but unlike Laser don't use springs on the front of the headers.

Retail is £339.

As for your final question, what spirt level? :nenau

Oops! Just remembered I'd posted this.... Sorry :o

Somehow I thought that the black rear bracket on the frame looked like a mini spirit level. Trick of the light, honest  :D

Looks good anyway :thumb
