I will be taking Delivery of my New GS tomorrow and as part of my "Deal" negotiations I have aquired a "used" Rear Hugger from my Dealer which I am in the process of Painting Black. However, after reading most of the Hugger Info on this excellent Site I am a bit concerned as some of the Products described seem to be of dubious Quality and really unfit for purpose. I know that I got my Hugger for free but even that does not make it a bargain if it,s not up to the Job. Problem I have is identifying my Hugger which does not have a Manufactuer,s name and after trawling thro. the various Pics on this site I can,t spot it. I don,t have any pictures but a description is as follows. The Hugger is not Carbon Fibre and is of a symetrical shape with a continuous curve from back to front. Total length measured over the outer surface is around 30 inches. Fixing is by a substantial alloy bracket (machined from solid) which "Bridges" over the Rear Brake Caliper and mounts to the Caliper fixing holes with the longer bolts supplied. The Fixing (Bracket to Hugger) is by three screws from inside the Hugger to tapped holes in the Bracket. Please can anyone identify this Hugger and perhaps advise if it,s a Good-un or a Duffer. Many Thanks.
