Yet another tyre question

Need new boots for my LC. Tempted to go for TKC80's. Fancy trying the odd bit of gentle local green laning. Have tried on the original tyres and it's too scary! I use the bike more or less everyday for a 65mile commute but happy to put up with the odd bit of vibration on the road. Anyone else run TKC80's?

Why not buy a pair of tatty wheels and stick the TK80s on those, its like having trackday wets. Have the best of both worlds, the TK80s would last for ages and not be wasted doing something they are not designed for.

I've just put a set of TKC 70 on mine excellent on road and very good off perfect compromise

I have put Metzler Karoo's on mine and I think they are a bit more road friendly than than TKC80's. Great in the mud as well.

I ran TKC80s on my GS LC and I've got them on my GSA LC, and I love them on and off road. They're a little bit vibey on Tarmac for the first few hundred miles, but after that they're fine. They're a bit pricey though.

I'm onto my third rear TKC80's great tyre in my view. U can get them for less that £75 each from tyre leader. Easy to fit too !

Look at the Heidenau K60. Not as aggressive as a TKC80 but still good off road but give much better life and grip on the road, a great all rounder.
