Hi Guys

Have'nt seen this mentioned yet, so here it is.

Its leaving this Sunday at 11:30 starting at the Kelvin way, quick tour of the city complete with Santa Suits and bags of toys finishing at the hospital.
The look on the kids faces when they see a bunch of two wheelin Santa's is unforgetable. So if your sober this Sunday morning why not come along and make a kids day.

There's normally about 200-300 bikes turn up, so the more the merrier:thumb2

Regards RB

Ps if you need anymore info PM me.:type

Only found out about it when I was in at Mottorad West this afternoon and was just about to post up about it. I should be able to make it along and believe that a few of the staff from Bishopbriggs are planning to meet there at 11am before heading to Kelvin Way.

Will need to get the Bike decorations and Santa suit back out of the loft :thumb Plenty Xmas tunes ready for the speakers :augie Hope its not too wet. Would have been nice if Bacon could have made it along.

Despite the weather there was a really good turnout with hundreds turning up at Kelvin Way for the run. I met up with a few Marshalls including Ron Deacon the organiser, a few GSers and Scott at Mottorad Central West before heading down to Kelvin Way.

It was damp to start and I felt I was gone to end up outside the Sick Kids in a big red puddle if the dye in my Santa suit started to run  However the rain died away and it stayed dry for the run. It was a similar route to the Easter Bunny run but at a far better pace, well at the front anyway. We were lucky as our group of Marshalls were going at the front behind the police escorts so we lined up rights behind them. Streets wern't that busy due to the damp weather but we got a great reception from the kids and staff as we approached the hospital :clap. My Xmas music blaring out of my speakers helped the festive atmosphere. The presents piled up in the canteen as biker after biker dropped of their donations.

I had arranged a surprise to meet Skye's wee cousin at George Square. She couldn't believe it when Santa pulled up next to her and handed her a present. We were babysitting her today and she was telling us all about it. I am amazed she didn't recongise me. Apart from the kids at the hospital it was also nice to see the different looks on the faces of kids (and adults) around Glasgow city centre when the saw Santas riding by

Thanks to Ron and the marshalls for organising the day and giving us a great excuse to get out on our bikes. :thumb
