Yorkshire Dales on a sunny October day!!

Looks like you enjoyed riding around "my back garden" :beerjug::D

There are some great rides around Settle, not only up into the Dales, but also into both the trough and forest of Bowland. Not as well known as the Dales but some great roads

If you want an interesting ride next time, why not go up from Hawes to Thwait then Keld, turn off up to Tan Hill (Englands highest pub), then off to Kirkby Steven where you can either go off across country to the Lakes (via Shap) or down across country through Dent and Ingleton back to the A65 :D

Settle, Hawes and A65. Loads of sports bikes at weekends , with lots of police

Enjoy Yorkshire and Ride Safe :friday

Hi Earwig, remember doing Tan Hill pub one absolutely freezing day, on my "short legged GS:D" R1100r, look at the snow behind the pub here

It was a really filty, dirty, slimy roads day and it took me ages to get the bike clean again

Not done the Dent / Ingleton road though so I'll have to work that one in sometime

Recognise that bike behind you. Don't think Danny Boy will be getting days like that where he's going to. Never mind we can always send him some photos to make him homesick. Must have taken you a while to clean up after that ride.

I'm with Dan, he's a tad bigger than you Col !!! :rob

Ha ha :thumb

You didn't say how many times you had to stop and and fill up that fuel tank?;)

Oh here we go, we all know how many mpg you get.... ;)

Funny, I don't remember it taking me long to clean my bike....
