After a bit of changeable and cold weather, today was actually quite warm........so decided to have a bimble after tea towards the Wolds, taking in some of the area's most beautiful Priories and Houses

Setting off from Thirsk, I went via Coxwold and stopped off at nearby Newburgh Priory

Stunning village, famous for the Priory and the topiary hedges

Then over to Hovingham and Slingsby, before turning down the arrow-straight carriage drive leading to Castle Howard

At the end of the carriage drive, is this Obelisk

Over the A64 @ Whitwell and on towards the Priory @ Kirkham

Then I went over the 'hidden wolds' to have a brew @ Seaways Cafe at Fridaythorpe....................before heading home via Malton

Nice evening for a bimble and not many bikes out:thumb2

Rode this route yesterday

Gods own country, its not hard to find a great biking road in that part of North Yorkshire

Nice to see some lovely photos of bikes out in nice weather, it's pissing doon here :D
I really have to get over to the UK on a bike again one day....:thumb2

Cheers.../Rob
