Just noticed there's a 'Bargain' Levo in the for sale section for any of you 'nearly there' lurkers. Perfect for the lady emtb rider
(seller has probably upgraded to a speedy Trek)

That’s a lot of untidy cables![]()

are you eMtbers able to record when during the ride the bike provides assistance, so when you review the analysis on Strava you can differentiate between you putting all the effort in and when / how the motor assists ?
Update...

Don't get one then.
Now go and look for other eBike fails. You'll find them for all other brands. Especially![]()
I'm highlighting it as it may be a bosch issue and not a Cube issue, in fact, it really can't be a Cube issue, it's only their frame. Now don't you go getting upsetI'm highlighting it as it may be a bosch issue and not a Cube issue, in fact, it really can't be a Cube issue, it's only their frame.
Unless there was an error by Cube during the manufacturing process.
I haven't fallen off mine yet, so haven't seen the underneath!
A link to the eBay one may be handy, for when it happens.![]()
Can’t find them now. I’ll send the chap I got mine from a shout to see if he’s still doing them.
The Bosch CX motor has both torque and Cadence sensors and will alter the amount of assistance accordingly. You can also change the rate of assistance from ECO through to Turbo. The former on mine (pre 2020) gives 50% assistance at 40Nm of torque and Turbo 300% at 75Nm. There is a adaptable range called eMTB that varies between 120 - 300% at 75Nm and senses rider input and acts accordingly. it also has some degree of traction control and gear change assist. I like Tour mode at up to 120% but only 50Nm of help.
The 2020 motor gives more at:
ECO - 60%, 40Nm
Tour - 140%, 50Nm
eMTB - 140 to 340%, 75Nm
Turbo - 340%, 75Nm
All these figures are max and the motor will give less if you ease off (eg on the flat or downhill).
Cheers.
I had to lift it over a fallen tree today, so a decent sump guard may be worthwhile!
They are a good thing to have because I’d hate to think how much a replacement motor would be if you mullered one! Right, the chap isn’t doing them anymore and doesn’t know anyone who is. Sorry.
The only thing I can think of is maybe sending your plastic one to either Vern ( if he’s still being an aluminium wizard ) or Mark Hooton maybe? They are a good thing to have because I’d hate to think how much a replacement motor would be if you mullered one!

Yeah, Mark would make me one. I’ll wait until I’m passing by one day, then he can make one while I tuck into his fancy red wine!![]()
You’d probably be in need of a drink peddling that far!

I need to rethink this!![]()
On an eBike you can end up being Billy no mates...
Your mates on non eBikes don’t want to ride with you or you don’t want to ride with them (to slow, rides to short) or you ride slowly with them and get fat
On the Levo you have three power modes but you can customise them so you can dial the power down so the motor just compensates for the extra weight and it’s a normal MTB experience - I tried it once, I’ll stick to being Billy no mates who people shout cheater at!
), but he’s not interested.
