You all told me.....

Pedals = DMR Bikes V12’s for me. :thumb2

Never had my feet slip off the pegs yet even with all the over ambitious stupidity I do. They do however rip your shins to pieces when you catch them walking alongside!

Wasn't buying anything til I got rid of my scrambler so it is what it is, said to call back nearer end of month as they were starting production again, may even wait til later in the year for a 2021 bike.

If you wait till the end of the season then you’ll get some bargains on this years models. :thumb2

Same as you, well when they are in that is, local dealer, best bang for buck, no brainer. If we buy three a discount has been discussed.

It’s a brilliant bike, very well made. :thumb

Yep I'm sold on it, scrambler getting picked up during the week so funds are available, unlike the Cube :blast

Get them from that Certini company I gave you the link to :thumb

Ye, Evans has them as well would just prefer to buy local, may save a lot of hassle in future.

I’d actually recommend Evans. They have a no quibble exchange policy, so if you’re not happy with the bike for any reason, they’ll change it for something else, within 30 days. With the riding I’m doing, a 160 would have been better for me. When I asked the ebike shop if they offer the same policy, they said no, tough luck.

Interesting :idea

Since I took my that deposit today all I've done today is surf google earth looking at the mountain tracks that are less than an hours drive from me, a few monros that I know can be cycled with interesting descents.

Buy the 140 from Evans, keep the box, then if it’s no good, send it back. The 140 may actually be ok for me, but I’ll probably change the forks for something else at some point.

Also, don’t forget that Evans have a trade in policy, so if you trade in any shitty old bike, you’ll get a few hundred quid off any of their bikes. ;)

Done this a few years back, absolutely brutal climb and even more brutal descent, guy makes it look easy, think I was otb at least 3 times.

That shitty old bike cost cost me two and a half grand a few years back and the fecker doesn't even have an engine :blast

I was going to just get a cheap £50 bike out of the paper, then trade that in, but the logistics of lockdown made it too much hassle.

Why on earth don’t people wear gloves? :nenau

I always wear them every time I go out. Even lightweight padded mesh ones if it’s warm.

Same here. He’ll regret that, if he comes off.

Shorts arrived yesterday, but why do they fit such tight elastic to the legs? :blast

I cut all the elastic out of an old pair of padded shorts for yesterday’s ride, and they did the trick. I’d rather not have my blood circulation cut off when riding.

Did 42 miles with the new seat today. It feels better than the stock plank, and after making a couple of adjustments on the go, have found a good position. They say you should ride with it around 5cm lower than a normal seat, but it didn’t feel right. I’ll get another 100 miles on it this week, and see how it beds in. Arse doesn’t feel as sore tonight. :beerjug:
