Yes, I held a commission in His Majesty's Army and I was riding bikes even before that. I ride my 1200Gs pretty well every day summer and winter and, moreover, last weekend I met another guy on a 1200GS and he was even older than me; it is all as a result of not smoking, a decent diet, a stress free life AND a hell of a lot of good luck (and excellent medical services here in France..)
...and i do confess that these days I am even more afraid of breaking myself than the bike!
