A week last Sunday and I am with a few friends enjoying a quick coffee in Baldock services car park prior to setting off on a bit of a ride. Out of the 10 or 12 bikes most are GS 1200's, one mate on a Multistrada and my wife and I on my 1190R. 2 guys come over and they ask me what I think of the 1190R, well how long have you got?? 
So we have a chat and it turns out that they are en route from Yorkshire to Broxbourne to pick up a used one that one of them had just bought.
And then yesterday, I am waiting for my breakfast at Magor services on the M4 when I guy comes up to me and asks if it is my KTM in the car park. I say yes it is and he says "sorry mate but I've just reversed into it". Before my heart stops beating, he laughs and says "only messing, I've got one of those as well, fantastic aren't they?" First I give him a minor bo**oking for nearly inducing a minor coronary but we laugh and chat about the bikes.
Now, don't get me wrong, in the 35 years or so I have ridden bikes, people have always come up and chatted but this is the first time in many years that riders have come up and chatted with such enthusiasm.
So you guys know who you are, are you on here?
