Talked my mate into buying a gs, as we go away in 3 weeks, full service history adventure model with luggage etc checked it over & all was well 
Did 130 miles home with no problems.
He rang me this morning while he was waiting to be recovered
he says the back end is covered in oil . Turns out the final drive bearing has gone & no leaks or play was evedent 130 miles ago & on top of this it was replaced by a dealers 6000 miles ago but when it was over sea's at least it went before we do a 3000 mile + trip
