I fancy doing one of those nice slideshow with a bit of music jobbies that some of you fellas have done.
Where do I begin?

I don't think that's it.
I mean where you take a bunch of photos from a rideout or something and stick them in a slideshow with a bit of music added.
Like this:

Now I understand

Use Windows Movie Maker...open it up (it's already there with XP and Vista - the Vista one had more effects), create new project, import photos, drag and drop onto the storyline, add transition effects (the way it changes from frame to frame), add effects on the photos,import music and add that to the storyline, play around with it and get it to the right length - Hey Presto

You'll have to play around with it the first time and get used to using it, but it's user friendly and pretty simple. Have fun and good luck
