Does anyone know if HG do a repair service?

The zip fastener (up to close, down to open) on my Tuareg jacket has come off, completely, and is lost, and while the other zip fastener (up to open, down to close) is still there its a pita and makes trying to fasten the jacket a tad interesting.

Emailing system at their side is not working...

TIA:beerjug:

They certainly used to do repairs as I've had zips done, you may have to phone or call in at a store though. Looks like either Edinburgh or Carlisle for you.

i think in the yorkshire area area hein gericke used to use somebody called "dave the leather man" as their preferred repairer,i suppose in scotland they use someone different but if you get stuck he might be worth a try

Recently went to HG Edinburgh and Glasgow with a fastener problem which they could only have helped with if the kit was still under warranty.
HG Aberdeen were very helpful with their box of fastener bits and I managed to repair it myself.
There's a tailor/repair shop just next door to HG Glasgow who seems to pick up a lot of customer repairs and is also very helpful but needs to source and order the replacement parts.
If you're out of warranty you may have to hunt around.

If it's not under warranty and you're going to have to pay for it, Charles, the default choice is pretty much Nan Hynd in Hamilton -

Many thanks to all of you who have responded with different suggestions of people to contact.
I will pursue some of them and see what they say.

You put "Rev" at the front of your user name, say you've bust a zip, and not one single person says "Lose some weight you fat tosser!!!!" What has this site come too :rob

Zip was fecked on my twat suit. Bought a replacement (actually better with coarser teeth iyswim) from John Lewis. Had the local tailor stitch it in. Job done for £20 in total.

Had an email back from HG confirming what some have suspected, that with jacket being out of warranty they do not do repairs.
