I've been running zonealarm firewall for a while which I'm happy with but it's now hijacked outlook and sorts incoming mail into inbox junk and phishing mail.
I've already got AVG scanning it and would rather bin the zonealarm as I'm sure it's "lost" some mail.
Is there an easy way of doing this? Had a fiddle but can't seem to find a specific file to butcher or a setting to remove it:o

Go into Control Panel - Add/remove programs-Zonealarm

Alternatively - if you find the Zonealarm in your start menu - there may be an uninstall option there.

Cheers Al but will that not remove the firewall as well? I just want to stop it accessing outlook and to remove the zonealarm folders within outlook that have been created.

Sorry - misunderstood your problem.

You should still be able to go into the Zonealarm configuration in its panel by double-clicking on the icon in your system tray (bottom right of screen).

I must admit that I used Zonealarm for a short while, but found its configuration a bit complex.

Good luck.

ZoneAlarm has just added this new "service" on top of the basic "Firewall" package. It is possible to just install the free firewall without the "helpfull" Phishing/Email stuff if you click the right buttons during the installation process.

I'm rather liking the idea of the USB key Linux based firewall that Yoggie are starting making.

Just turn off the function - go to main screen, and toggle off the Basic Mail Safe function - should do the trick.
