My Zontes ‘dealer’ isn’t getting any stock in but can place an order.But at 6’1” with 34” inseam I’m thinking it’ll be too cramped.
Tempting though at under £6 k for me OTR or about £6.5k with three box luggage.
Need to sell a bike first though .
I used to run a workshop in a dealership that sold Zontes. This was 2023. So they might have got better.
In 2023 they were utter shit. Made of Temu steel. Very cheap and nasty components. Product support, manuals etc were a nightmare. Dodgy electrics. Cheap sensors. They turned orange with the slightest hint of moisture.

Suzuki = 10 years
In 2006 I had a brand new 1200 GSA that had rust on it out of the crate .
Ten years of Main dealer servicing. At main dealer prices. Only using genuine parts. Having to replace every part they suggest with genuine parts.
You could probably buy another bike after ten years for the same cost
Quite happy with that seeing as my Suzuki dealer charges £75 per hour . Even less in Brittany . The two other dealers here are £110 and £120 per hour
Yep, it has always been a numbers game for those choosing between a warranty and saving by self servicing.
Diminishing returns for sure, particularly as the bike gets older and its value drops.
Sometimes you win, but occasionally you loose. A bit like insurance, do you go fully comp+ or go third party only without fire and theft.

That's pretty cheap labour these days. Especially for a main dealer. My local Suzuki dealer are about £100 I think. Local BMW is £175 now. So I was told.
What adds up is the parts. And the Schedule. New Iridium plugs and air filter at 7500 miles is ridiculous. And very expensive. Then you'll be needing new genuine coolant hoses and brake lines eventually too. And your chain and sprocket kits, brake pads, clutch kits. All genuine parts. ££££££££££
I'd just let the warranty expire after 12 months. Suzukis don't go wrong. Well, very rarely anyway. Our Suzuki/Kawasaki warranty shelf was like the Carlsberg claims department.
I hired a Zontes Monster motorcycle in Kefelonia in 2018. 200cc and roomy. Had 20k kms on the clock and ran well and not a lot of corrosion that I could see. Returned to the UK and tried to find one but was only available over there. I wouldn't worry about buying and running one.

But in 45 years of two wheeling I don’t think I’ve ever had to fit a new chain and sprockets !!
Obviously don’t keep all bikes that long but I’ve had a few for a decade or so but just didn’t do massive mileage on them due to sharing the trips amongst several bikes .
You’re right about Suzuki though . One of the reasons I’ve splashed out on tubeless rims for my Vstrom 800 as it’s pretty much the perfect bike for me , with a roomy riding position , sublime motor, great handling and a 20 litre tank giving 250 ish mile range . Lack of cruise solved by fitting a Veridian unit , and the wheels will make it perfect .
But I am intrigued by this Zontes. Gets rave reviews and selling in big numbers . Don’t need one but for £6k it’s tempting . Will seek one out when next in UK though that might be a while unfortunately.

Think I'd probably remove the bars and just go with the top box, like Pulling in that last video.
Probably remove the crash bars and gash looking fogs too. But I'm not a lover generally of scaffolding. Removed the bars on my GS in favour of X-heads.
