ZTechnik Screen

Hi

Anyone using one of the ZTECHNIK screens from Custom Cruisers ???
Got an 1150GS and thinking of getting one, would like to hear any of your comments

I've got one (the large screen) on my Adventure with tobinators.

Lots of adjustment, although on the GSA it isn't as easy to adjust as I would like.

I run with mine quite raked back for to reduce wind noise and turbulence.

Good quality screen, and great service from Custom Cruisers. I had some problems with my screen but the guys at CC and in the US were absolutely brilliant. (see separate thread by me on the subject).

Re Ztechnic screen

Hi I have had the Ztchnic screen on my 2003 1150gs now for some time and am very pleased with it . Fitted as a replacement for thstandard screen it was a definate improvement BUT I did get a very annoying droning sound at about 75-80mph ( did not have it with the standard screen) I then fitted Tobinators and what an improvement! a bit of a sod to adjust because the Ztechnic covers the bottom adjuster but worth the fiddle .
I would go so far as to say the only better screen that I have used is a "Parebulum screen " on my old R100rt , with that I do not bother with earplugs it is so quiet But the Ztechnic is a very good well made item and Custom cruiser guys are very helpfull.

Same setup as Dave

BIG ZTechnik with Tobinators on an Adventure. Outstanding wind protection, no buffeting, tricky to get at the Tobinator bolts ('cos of the 'flares' at the bottom outside of the screen). Very good bit of kit (Tobinators not fitted on pic below).

And catches crosswinds like an ocean-going yacht!
