Zumo 220 Mapsource to Favourites

Hi Guys

Just got myself a zumo 220 over xmas, (good deal from Curry/OC World £180),

I know how to do the route planning and waypoints etc, the problem i'm having is transferring the route to the device.

When i'm sending it over, the waypoint and route box's are ticked, but the route goes into the favorite's.

I do not have a micro sd card in, (only just realised there's not one in the box, so i'll get one in the morning)

Will this be whats causing it to go to the favorite's, or am I doing something wrong?

Try saving the route as a GPX file (in the save as menu, bottom drop down list). Save this to the folder on your GPS called /Garmin/GPX/. You should then be able to import the route using the menu on the GPS to make it available for navigation.

You need to do this import routine to get the desired route into the routes menu irrespective of how you load it onto the Zumo. Maybe it's already there, you having used send to device in Mapsource, but you just haven't found it yet.

You can create the same folder structure (/Garmin/GPX/) on your SD card, when you get it, and the GPS will read that as well.
