Hi All

I've been trawling the threads for the info I need, but can't seem to find it.

I have a F800GS with an autocom logic 1 fitted (bike powered). This seems to work well with bike to bike and pillion etc. I now wish to install a Zumo 550, I would like to hardwire it and connect it to the autocom for music and directions etc. I'm not necessarily bothered about using my phone with it,

The question is how do I do the above and what additional 'bits' will I need to buy?

I'm hoping somebody can give me a complete idiots guide!!

Big Bird,

Where did you install your Logic 1 on your F800GS and connect to power too?

Hi Kieranb

The logic is in the tail light recess, it was installed by the dealer so I'm not sure what connections they made.

I've now got it all up and running though, I bought a can bus to garmin lead from touratech and connected this to the spare can bus socket on the battery. I bought a 2 m cable and isolator from autocom, connected it to the music socket. Job done.

Big Bird,

Thanks, last questions - promise :), where do you store your iPod ( I assume) on the bike and where are the connects for the head set and audio located?
