Hi all

I've just upgraded my Nokia N95 to a Nokia E51 as I was sick of the slider opening in my pocket and also wanted much longer battery life.

I've downloaded the Nokia Contact Download Application to the phone ok in order to be able to see my address book / contacts on my Zumo 550 but can't get it to run / work.

Does anyone know if Contacts Download is actually compatible with the Nokia E51 or if there are any known glitches with it?

cheers,
Terry

It would be worth updating your E51 with the latest Nokia software, via PC Suite. My E51 wouldn't originally automatically synch phone contacts with either my Zumo 550 or the Parrot bluetooth kit in my car. It now does, without Nokia Contact Download Application.

Remember to backup your phone contacts and other data before you start!

I had dramas getting it to work with a N70 and Zumo 660, got it eventually, sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs but this is how I got it.
Delete pairing in phone and Zumo,
Switch on contacts downloader and set to automatically send contacts
Pair the phone to the Zumo (rather than Zumo to phone)
It should now pair automaticaly followed by sync of contacts a second or so later, phonebook takes a couple of seconds to appear depending on the amount of contacts it's sending.

When I said software, I meant firmware! My E51 has firmware version 300.34.56, which is current according to Nokia PC suite. I suggest you update your phone to this using PC Suite, but do a backup first, also using PC Suite.
