Zumo 550 Download Problem

I am trying to download my route from the weekend ride from my 550 to my PC.
When I get to the Transfer Info stage I am getting a window stating there is a problem communicating with the device.
I managed a download only last week and cannot think I am doing anything wrong.
Is this a fault anyone else has come across?

Same thing is happening to me on two trips - can't upload the trip log to the PC. The PC runs Vista, which could be the prob, but it worked until last week

Might require a call to Garmin.

I should have titled the thread as an 'Upload' problem!
However thanks Al for the advice, I rang Garmin this morning, they suggested that I 'downloaded' the latest upgrade, which I did and now have an 'Uploaded' copy of my weekend Ride to my PC...../Thanks again.

Thank you, Robfin - that's exactly what I'll do today.......... download the latest operating patch.
